HM Insurance Group Announces New Worksite Distribution Strategy
PITTSBURGH – (Decmber 9, 2010) – HM Insurance Group (HM) announced today that it will refocus its distribution strategy for its Worksite product portfolio, including Critical Illness, Accident, Disability Income, Term Life and Limited Benefit Medical products.
As of January 1, 2011, national distribution will be handled by select strategic partners with proven track records in marketing Worksite on a national scale. This will allow HM to focus its sales efforts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, core markets of its parent company. "We believe this strategic change will allow us to strengthen our presence in a more concentrated area, where we and our parent have a market presence second to none, while still making the products available across the country through select strategic partners," said Michael W. Sullivan, HM Insurance Group president and chief operating officer.
